The Whithorse Hill Cist and its Remarkable Contents

Dr Andy M. Jones from Cornwall Archaeological Unit will speak about the excavation at Whitehorse Hill, Dartmoor.

The excavations revealed an intact burial deposit which was associated with a range of artefacts. Due to the exceptional preservation, the peat mound was rich with environmental material which helped build a picture of environmental conditions over time around the cist.
